Statement of Purpose and Values

The purpose of FaithFreaks.com is to glorify God by providing an alternative social network that is safe, clean, friendly, and Christ-centered.  In keeping with this purpose the following values drive this website:

  • We value JESUS.  We believe that in Him all things hold together and therefore in all things He should have the supremacy.
  • We value the BIBLE.  We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God, and we use it as our guide in all things.
  • We value PRAYER.  We believe that through prayer we can tap into a power greater than ourselves and therefore this site should move us to prayer.
  • We value GRACE.  We believe that it is through God’s grace that we have been saved and therefore we should have grace with one another.  Ungracious responses to prayer requests, forum posts, bulletins, etc., will not be tolerated.
  • We value the LOCAL CHURCH.  We believe that God is a communal God and that He calls all believers to community.  Therefore we urge all members to find a local church and we desire to provide opportunities to assist them in that search.
  • We value FELLOWSHIP.  We believe that all who are in Christ are brothers and sisters, and we want this site to be a place where godly relationships are formed and grow.
  • We value FAMILIES.  We believe that God has created family relationships to display His glorious relationship within the Trinity and also with the Church.  Therefore we want this site to be a place where husbands and wives are urged to love one another and serve one another and where children are urged to honor their parents and parents to raise their children in the way they should go.
  • We value HOLINESS.  We believe that without holiness, no one will see the Lord.  We believe that the offer of eternal life is an offer to walk in holiness.  Therefore we will not tolerate the acts of the sinful nature – “sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like” (Gal 5:19-21, NIV).  Because of our desire to spur one another on to holiness, we will not tolerate images or language that will arouse the sinful nature.
  • We value DISCIPLESHIP.  We believe that God wants all of his children to grow to maturity in the faith and in discipleship, and for this reason we want to provide opportunities for people to grow in their relationship with Christ.
  • We value MINISTRY.  We believe that God has called us to serve one another, and therefore we want this site to be a place where people are pointed toward serving in ministry and equipped for the works of ministry.
  • We value EVANGELISM.  We believe that salvation is found in no one but Jesus, and therefore we want this site to urge people to preach the gospel to the lost.
  • We value HEAVEN.  We believe that the Christian life calls us to lose this life in order to gain the next, and therefore we want to be one of God’s vessels in turning people against the flow of this culture, toward the self-denial that brings great gain in the next life.  We do not want this site to be a place for pursuit of worldly pleasures but rather a place for the pursuit of the pleasure of eternal fellowship with the Living God.

FaithFreaks.com is the premier Christian social network. 

FaithFreaks is founded on the principles of the Bible and the belief in Jesus Christ.

We are a ministry that will help our users build upon their faith and beliefs by providing resources to help them focus and grow in their Christian walk.

Believers in Jesus Christ are simply no longer of the world; in the world, but not of it (John 17:14-15). What believers *should* do is to be set apart from the world. This is the meaning of being holy and living a holy, righteous life--to be set apart.

We are not to engage in the sinful activities the world promotes, nor are we to retain the insipid, corrupt mind that the world creates. Rather, we are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2).

Our site is user friendly and free from obscene pictures and language. These are filtered to prevent such material from being presented to our users. 

Our network of filters and monitors are constantly overseeing the content on the site and deleting offensive materials.

We value the safety of our users all profiles under 18 are automatically private and accounts of those 13 and under have extra precautions to keep the younger users safe.

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 4Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
