Worship. What is worship? Dictionay.com defines worship as, "Paying homage to God or anything that is sacred." I am not sure I agree. I'm on board with paying homage or giving thanks to God, but there is no mention on how that connects to a lifestyle. Worship is not a single moment in time that you gave thanks to God. It is bigger than that. Worship is a lifestyle one lives in honor of God. Worship is not music, it is not preaching, it is not sunday school, it is not always easy, it is much bigger than all these things. Worship is not an idea but an action. Please don't think that just because you sang a song and felt good about it that you worshipped. Worship is in the times when no one is watching and only God sees you. Worship is choosing to read your bible everyday and being disciplined and frequent in your prayer life. Don't get me wrong, I believe music plays a part in worship, and so does church. However, church is designed to make you hungry and teach you to feed yourself. Worship is the food that you should be devouring. Knowing this, one should realize that styles of music and rules of local churches are irrelevant. Those things are not worship. Worship lives in your heart and can be brought out no matter what the music sounds like, or how the preacher preaches. You decide when worship happens, not the drums or the projector, only you. So quit worrying or arguing about styles and prefrences and start WORSHIPPING!!!!!
