What's happened to them? Once upon a time, your family was the rock, the foundation of your teachings, morals, and lifestyle. One family under God. If you did something unethical, you could disgrace the lot of them for generations.
Nowadays, family has become a squabbling lot of people who think themselves cursed to live under the same roof. Kids talk smack about their parents, parents talk smack about their kids. All in all, we say "I love you" to their faces but what we're really saying behind their back is something else. Just because it's 'cool' to do so, makes us seem rebellious, or we're just too chicken to say what we mean to their faces.
I know how this applies in normal society with friends and co-workers. But honestly, your siblings? You parents?
At what point did we wake up and say, "Heck with you guy, you don't deserve my respect anymore"???
It's all very sad.
