That "Free Book" from the ads

Hopefully by now you have seen the ad for the "Free Book".  It's from a ministry called Gospel For Asia.  Please order the book.  It will change your life.

I got a copy several years ago, and it sat on my shelf for almost two years before I read it.  When I did read it, it completely transformed my Christian walk.  I was no longer able to look at American Christianity and its consumer mentality in the same way.

The book, "Revolution in World Missions" is written by K.P. Yohannan, an Indian-born pastor.  In the book, K.P. describes his experiences growing up in India, preaching in India, and his response to the shocking excesses of the American Church.

As for Gospel for Asia, it is a missions organization that is quite unique.  Rather than sending Westerners to the "mission field", which is very, very expensive and where they have to spend years learning language and culture, they focus on training native missionaries.  Not only is this less expensive, it is also much more effective as these missionaries are already a part of the culture they are trying to reach.  All of this is detailed in the book.

And Gospel for Asia speakers have spoken at my church a few times. In fact, I just requested one of their speakers for February. They are incredibly legit. An amazing, Christ-centered, fruitful ministry. Posted in response to: I looked into it today, but I just didn't feel right giving my name and address to someone/something I wasn't sure was legitimate. Knowing you/other people did it is a bit more comforting.
