Why does God let BAD THINGS HAPPEN?!

Posted On: 04/04/2012 Current Mood: IDK

We Christians are all too familiar with the question, “If your God is a loving God, then why does He let bad things happen?”

Let me share with you some personal experiences of my life that seemed horrible, hopeless, and broken at a certain time: but eventually turned out for the best. Because remember, God has our best interests at heart ;)

I adopted an adorable Pomeranian/chichiwawa when I was seven years old. It was he I'd tell my little secrets to, pray with and for, play with, care for...spend my bored times with....he was my very best friend :)
So when he passed last Easter, I didn't want to stay in this nightmare of a reality. It was horrific, I would cry night and day for him to come back, sobbing all week...then I met Marcus. A bold little guy, black and white Boxer at our local pound. He was mangy, he had worms...but I didn't care :) He stole my heart from the beginning with his “singer's voice”!
I've had him as my little man for nearly a year now. I've trained him, loved him, took care of his worms, mange, and naughty behavior :) He is such a delight! But I never would have met him nor experienced such joy he brings if it weren't for the death of my dear old friend, Roscoe.
My Marcus might not have made it out of the pound, period, if it weren't for that bad, sorrowful time.

SO, you see. God has wonderful, better than imagined, plans set out after all these potentially bad things happen. He has a plan, you have a purpose....remember that.
