Wasted.

Posted On: 04/26/2012

Wasted. Wasted on drinks. Used on drugs. So many of us waste our leftover food. Waste shows up in dumps. Waste shows up in the trash. Waste-waste-waste. Why, with all we waste, how come we never seem to learn how to NOT waste our time. Waste our lives?
(That's a mouthful.)

Seems like a continual, repetitive trait we human beings have. No matter how many times we say we'll stop-we keep doing it. No matter how many close-to-death experiences, we still can't seem to live life to the fullest. And what does this have to do with waste? Well if you waste your life, what left do you have to live?

Trial: trial is always going to be in our lives no matter how hard we try to avoid it. It could be the simplest form of 'resisting the temptation to eat that cookie staring at you from the counter'
Or...it could be one of those trials where your entire life rests upon YOUR decision. Difficult, huh?
But with all of these trials there is reward. God promises that with each trial (He will help us through!)
comes a maturity in our Faith. Check out James 1:2-4

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Not lacking anything. So stop taking things for granted and being wasteful! Remember PURE JOY comes with each arising trial, and God is there with you.
