Trying to solve our own problems doesn't always work the way we think it might. Actually, it can backfire a lot of times, because only God can truly remove sinful desires and addictions from us. The Bible says that He wants to renew us by the transforming of our minds. God wants to renew you, and your boyfriend, and He can do it so easily! I know that you're doing better now, but God can do amazing things in your life, if you let Him. I know this sounds simple, but if you want to be good parents and you want to serve God and be free from your past and have your scars healed, you'll have to decide who you want to live for. The world, or Jesus Christ? You're going to have to learn how to simply LET GO. This world isn't worth it at all; I know that for a fact because I had to learn it the hard way. We've ALL made mistakes, so don't beat yourself down about it. God wants to touch you and your boyfriend, but you guys are going to have to FULLY surrender to Him. Repent of your sins and wrongdoing, and ask Him sincerely for His forgiveness, and confess how sorry you truly are. Ask God to wash your sins away with the precious blood Jesus shed on the cross for you, and surrender fully and completely to Him. It's that simple, and it's absolutely free! God loves you so much and so dearly, and He wants to touch you and help you with being parents and guide you and change you. He loves you so much!!!! Choosing God is the best decision you'll ever make, trust me. And you WILL be attacked and tempted, but that's because the devil doesn't want you to serve God, the devil wants you to go to hell. But if you resist temptation and ask God for help and strength, God will help you and you can stand upon Him, because He is our ROCK! He'll never let you go, just accept Him in your heart and truly and sincerely serve Him, and you'll begin to feel the healing and change and transformation within your heart. Endure the hardships of a Christian, and God will bless you and make you even STRONGER! GOD'S GOING TO DO SOMETHING GREAT IN YOUR LIFE AND YOUR BOYFRIEND'S LIFE!!! :D I'll be praying for BOTH of you, sister! GOD BLESS YOU!!! :)

I know what you mean. Sometimes living for God isn't always the easiest thing to do, and sometimes we don't really feel like doing it, because it's not always the most fun, and we have our own life goals and satisfactions. However, as fun and great that the things of the world may seem, they only offer temporary satisfaction. They end up leaving us emptier than before and scarred. God promises to restore our lives and heal us and take away our sins, and that's the greatest gift of all. He sent his son to die on the cross for us so that we may make heaven our home, and if we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts and fully live for him, we'll attain heaven and a joy and peace like never before. NOTHING in this world could ever offer this. Only Jesus can satisfy the hunger inside our hearts; this world has NOTHING to offer and it's never worth it to "try out" things in the world. We're either FOR God, or AGAINST him. and quite frankly, I'd rather not be against God, considering that going to hell is the consequence. I know that sounds a little harsh, but it's the truth. We won't make it into heaven by half-serving God, and we'll never reach our full potential as Christians if we don't fully surrender to God and really serve him with all of our hearts. I know that the bible isn't that interesting at times, but it's a direct way to spend time with the Creator of the Universe and grow in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ask God to help you and give you revelation in scripture. also, prayer is a form of communication with God (the powerful, almighty King of everything that created EVERYTHING), and that's how we maintain and grow in our relationship with Christ. God LOVES it when we spend time with him, and reading the bible and praying are essential and EXTREMELY important to staying on fire for God, as opposed to being lukewarm, which is not good at all. I know this was a lot, and I apologize, but I'll keep praying for you and I hope that this helped, at least a little bit. Don't give up, sister. God can really help you, but you have to decide if you're going to fully serve him and LET him help you. Don't ever forget that he loves you and died on the cross for YOU. Don't feel guilty of your past, and don't try to go back to your old ways. God has a GREAT destiny for you, one that's better than you could ever imagine. He knows what's best for you, and you'll just have to trust him. And trust me, trusting God and serving him wholeheartedly is the BEST decision that I have ever made in my entire life. :) I'll be praying! God bless!
