Outer Sanctum Bio

Known for their high-energy, driving rock music, Outer Sanctum is a Christian band based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Guitar-driven with face-melting rock, their sound has been compared to that of RED, Breaking Benjamin, and Decyfer Down.

The group was formed in 2008 with a very specific goal - to make a positive difference in the world through a genre of music all too often laced with negative and even destructive connotations.

Armed with soul-stirring lyrics, Outer Sanctum encourages audiences with "You're worth so much more than you could ever know," rallies them to "Put your hands up to the King of Eternity!" and questions "If we are not one nation under God, then under what?"

Targeting Christians and non-Christians alike, Outer Sanctum's desire is to reach beyond the walls of the church into the secular world. "Our sole purpose is to take the positive message of genuine love, salvation, and true freedom offered only through the blood of Christ to those on the outside."

Breaking out of their comfort zones, the band goal is to boldly take the message of Christ to those waiting in the "Outer Sanctum," including places other Christians are unwilling to go.

They have done just that! Playing at bars (Birdy's and 8 Seconds Saloon, where they were a finalist in the X-103 Battle of the Bands), clubs, festivals, and churches alike in Indiana and surrounding states.

"There is a lot of pain in the world and we want to bring some hope to our genre." Outer Sanctum offers this hope through an energetic and exhilarating modern rock show ready for all venues.

Outer Sanctum's first full-length CD will be released early 2011! Their self-titled CD includes 9 stellar tracks, featuring crowd-pleaser Hands Up, heavy Hold On, and militant Under God.

Outer Sanctum will be taking a 3 month sebbatical at the end of 2011 from November to February to work on new material. Our last show of the year will be November 4th at Pepper's in Broad Ripple with Follower and Made Alive. Ages 21 and over only.
