About me:
I became a born again Christian in 2004 (John 3:3),I have been witnessing for since Aug 2005 plus, traveled to many states and out of the country missions. I love to preach and witness for Jesus Christ where ever I am and where ever I can travel to. I do witnessing here in AZ as much as I can weekly with the AZ team ministry , like door2door, at skate parks, (mill avenue street)bar districts place. Help teach and train WOTM,(Most importantly Only Christ can do all these things in me)(Philippians 4:13)
Here is my testimony:
Religion Has No Hope
My name is Edwin Lo. I live in the United States of America. When I was growing up I was raised in two religions. My father was Buddhist and my mother was Mormon. For twenty-five years the two religions I practiced were hard and confusing. I had no hope in finding the truth about what happens to people after they die. I did drugs and tried to hide my depressed and confused life.
When I was twenty-five years old, my friend told me about Jesus Christ and the Bible. I found out that I had sinned against the God of the Bible. I had broken the first and second commandments of God's holy laws. The first one says that we should have no other Gods except the God of the Bible. The second one says that we should not worship idols. I had believed that the Buddhist God and the Mormon God were real. I now know that they were not. I had also broken the ninth commandment which says, “Do not tell a lie”. I lied to everyone in my life to hide that I was using drugs. I also lied about being happy when I was depressed.
The Bible says that if we break just one of God's laws that we are guilty. After we die, we will be judged by God. He is a good judge. He will have to punish us because we are guilty. The Bible says that His prison is a place called hell. I knew that I could not be a good person no matter how hard I worked and tried. I knew that the good things that I did could not make up for what I had done wrong against God. I knew there was no hope for me in religion or good works.
The Bible says that Jesus Christ never sinned. Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross to pay for my sins. He did this because He loved us. He came back to life three days later and defeated sin and death.
I told God that I was sorry for my sins. I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save me from hell. The Bible says that if you do this, you can go to heaven to live forever after you die. The Bible says that heaven is a place where there will be no more suffering.
Jesus Christ has shown me the way, the truth and the life. He saved me from God's punishment of burning in hell forever. Today I now trust in Jesus Christ and live to serve Him. Only Jesus Christ is good enough to pay for my sins. He is the only one who has ever lived a perfect life. He is the only one who died to pay for our sins.
The living God who made the heavens and the Earth will judge everyone. The Bible says to call to the Lord Jesus Christ and turn away from everything that is sin or wrong. Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. He promises to save you from the punishment you deserve.
In the Bible, Jesus commands us to tell others how to be saved. It is very important because they could die at any time without knowing how to be saved.
Now I am a Christian and I follow and obey Jesus Christ and read and obey the Bible. I now share the good news of how to be saved from hell with everyone. I am grateful and thank God He sent His Son to save me. He has rescued me from hell and has given me hope. I am no longer depressed and confused. I am also free from drugs because of the hope Jesus Christ has given me. I am so thankful that I did not die without hearing the good news of what Jesus Christ did.
The Bible says in Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. www.needGod.com
