Good Morning My Dear Sweet Friend...I have not been on this site for some time but was thinking about you and thought I would stop by to let you know I had you on my mind and in my prayers. I have decided to close this site out because I have not been very active on it and really and truly none of my friends seemed to want to correspond. Only a very few would respond to my messages or comments. But you were one of the most faithful friends I had and I did not want to just leave without saying goodbye and may God richly bless you with His peace, joy and love. I TALK TO ME A LOT THESE DAYS ABOUT THE THINGS I DO.
I FIND THAT I QUITE OFTEN NEED A SERIOUS TALKING TO.
"GET THOSE SHOULDERS BACK" I SAY TO ME, AS I START DOWN THE HALL.
I GET THEM BACK AND START MY TREK; AND HOPE I WILL NOT FALL.
I SAY TO ME, WHEN I AWAKE, AND THE PAIN IS REALLY BAD,
"REMEMBER MANY HAVE MORE PAIN THAN I HAVE EVER HAD."
IT REALLY IS ANNOYING NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT THEY SAY
AND I WONDER IF I ANSWERED IN SOME STUPID WAY.
THEN I TELL ME TO REMEMBER STUPID ANSWERS ARE NOT NEW.
SOMETIMES WHEN I STILL HEARD WELL, I MADE STUPID ANSWERS TOO.
I NEED A READING GLASS THESE DAYS AND SO I SAY TO ME,
"BE VERY THANKFUL I CAN READ, MANY CANNOT EVEN SEE."
I TELL ME I SHOULD EXERCISE THOUGH I'D RATHER SIT AND READ
BUT IF I WANT TO KEEP MY SRENGTH WHAT IT TELLS ME I MUST HEED.
I CAN STILL WALK AND SEE AND HEAR THOUGH NOT AS IT USED TO BE.

PHIL COLBURN IS A WIDOW, NINETY-NINE YEARS OLD. SHE WRITES POETRY TO KEEP HER MIND CLEAR, PENNING A POEM EACH MONTH FOR HER CHURCH NEWSLETTER. WHAT A TESTIMONY...I PRAY THAT WHEN I AM NINETY-NINE I WILL BE ABLE TO DO WHAT THIS DEAR SWEET LADY DOES TO BLESS OTHERS. STILL BEING USED OF GOD, DOING WHAT SHE DOES SO WELL. WELL...YOU BE BLESSED IN SO MANY WAYS AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND WITH GOD'S PEACE, JOY AND LOVE BEING WITH YOU. WE ARE HAVING SOME STRONG WINDS HERE WHERE I LIVE BLOWING NEARLY EVERYTHING OVER. THE PICTURE OF THE WATER RAGING WITH GOD'S HANDS STRETCHED OUT OVER IT AS IF TO SAY WINDS BE STILL; THAT'S WHAT I AM PRAYING THAT GOD WILL CALM THE WINDS. BUT OTHER THAN THAT WE ARE HAVING BEAUTIFUL WEATHER. WE DID HAVE A VERY HOT DAY THIS WEEK. ON WEDNESDAY IT WAS 94 DEGREES. WHAT ARE WE GOING TO HAVE FOR A SUMMER IF IT IS ALREADY GETTING UP IN THE 90'S. THE REST OF THE WEEK HAS BEEN IN THE 80'S AND REALLY NICE. GUESS I HAD BETTER MOVE ALONG SO I CAN GET OR TRY TO GET SOME SLEEP. I HAD MINOR SURGERY TUESDAY AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP SINCE. THE MOST SLEEP I HAVE HAD IS LIKE A COUPLE OF HOURS AT ONE TIME BUT I NEED AT LEAST SIX HOURS OF GOOD SLEEP. IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE ME SOME GOOD SLEEP. THANKS SO MUCH FOR REMEMBERING ME. LOTS OF HUGS AND MUCH LOVE TO YOU.

Hi there my friend...sorry I haven't been around in a while...just been in a rut and had to dig myself up to the top once again. God is such a good God that no matter how low you allow yourself to get He will not let you stay there but always has his hand reaching down to you....But one thing I've found is that you have to reach up and take His hand for Him to pull you up. When you reach up and put your hand in His loving hand immediately you come out of that rut. Then you experience such joy and peace that is beyond belief. But just remember I had to reach up and take His hand in mine before I could get out of that rut. So I'm back into God's wonderful plan for my life...He wants us to be happy and loving others. He tells us....
"When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the

Hi....How are you doing this Sunday afternoon/evening? I thought I was doing really great until I opened the front door earlier this afternoon because I heard the wind blowing very hard and it was getting cold in the house. It was really cold out there especially with that wind blowing. This morning about 7 a.m. I opened up the front door and it was like spring time...it even had that fresh spring air smell. Now here it is 5:22 p.m. and the wind is blowing and it's really nippy out there. What happened to spring? I even had to turn on the heater. I knew it was getting cold in here that's why I opened the door to see how cold it really was. With that wind blowing it was really cold. Well enough of all this weather talk. Think I will get off the computer for awhile and watch some TV or read. Talk at you later. Blessings to you for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Lots of Hugs. Sure have been missing you. I know these first two months of the year are really busy ones. They have been for me making my time very limited that I can spend on the computer. Just popping in to say a hello and hope you had a good Sunday. I got so much rest this weekend. It feels so good to be able to rest and not be disturbed. That sounds awful but so many times when I try to rest in the day time it is impossible because of the phone ringing or people knocking on the door which I love but sometimes...just sometimes it's good to just be alone and be quiet or it was for me this one time.
